Evidently the chemist that concocted this had never smelled the real Jade East before. This not only doesn't remotely smell like the real thing, it doesn't even look like it. This definitely is NOT Jade East, don't waste your money, keep looking.

Nothing like it.
There isn't another cologne like Jade East! JE has a woody, sweet cedar oriental zest that smells incredibly good. This cologne will last about three to four hours. The aftershave is also excellent.

Ehhhh
I wanted to like this, I really did. It has potential, I can see what this was supposed to be. But sadly I think that it's another case of the modern production having cheapened and changed the formulation, and it is a shadow of whatever former scent it was. It's interesting, herbal and fresh with a hint of a sort of anise note, it really isn't bad. But sadly it's quite obvious that the aromatics used to make it are bottom shelf, the cheapest available, and you can smell it. The scent profile is nice and with higher quality ingredients it could probably be good, but this ain't that. Still it's not terrible, but it is disappointing.

Light and Pleasant
I got this a few years ago as I heard about it from my mother. Her father used it years past (90's I think). Of course she complimented it through the roof. I find this fragrance to last around 2 hours, opening with a powdery note up front, then it gets more herbal and slightly spicy as it ages. This one is a really nice cheap, light and accessible fragrance for guys of any age group. This is especially good if you don't like strong cologne, and just want something to add post-shower.

This was nice to find after not seeing it available for year
I use the aftershave and like the fragrance. It lasts all day. I use it just 1 day a week since it's not something i wish to smell like all the time but I like to smell like it some of the time and like variety and like adding it to my rotation, moving something less liked out when it ran out.

Nice bottle, great box, nothing in bottle! Would have been great to have received some product, would have been better had it been replaced as promised instead of being the victim of some penny pinching corporate move due to shipping costs or whatever, rude, boneheaded way to treat a first time customer! If any of you people actually read this stuff, I want to be compensated if you expect return business from me. If not, well, it's good to know how your customers are treated...just promise them anything to get 'em off the phone, nice!

We have enjoyed these products for more than 40 years and will continue to do so as long as we can. After I buy these products, you keep sending me e-mails to buy more. I would appreciate if you would not do so. These e-mails become redundant and are not welcomed. When we run out, we will buy more. I usually buy 6 or more at one time and they do last a long time. No resemblance to the original
I used the original Jade East cologne by Swank throughout the last half of the 60s and into the 70s and it was great; a fresh, clean fragtrance, unique and very pleasant. The current interation bears no resemblance whatsoever to the original. If I had to compare it to anything from that period it would be Hai Karate that has sat in a rubber hose in the sun for a couple of days.

Not what I remembered!!!
Over the past few months, when given the chance, I've written my disgust at what is being sold and being sent out as the "Real Jade East". There is a slight "Baby Oil" fragrance that lingers when applied, but that's all. What a disappointment to the buyer - the original fragrance was something of quality, not this imitation you've done now. I know because I fell in love with it when I was younger in 1964/65.

If you are searching for the true Jade East, IMHO, look elsewhere. I wore Jade East in the 60's and this is unfortunately, not the real deal. Even my wife asked what the fragrance was and I said it's supposed to be Jade Easr and she said, without prompting, "not even close". It isn't even the correct color. Fortunately it isn't expensive.

Only had one problem. When we opened the box the inside of the box was wet because the lid wasn't closed tight enough and we lost some of the cologne out of the bottle.

needs that something special
I used product years ago. Got great response how great it smells. Then on internet I seen was still selling so I ordered and smelled like it was watered down. My wife could not smell it on me. Very unsatisfied.

Like the fact that Jade East doesn't smell POWDERY! It silages as a clean/ sporty/fresh/floral eau. Musky finish makes it sexy & sort of "easy going"; RELAXED. CONSERVATIVE; though I'd not place it amongst my favorites.
