Tuvache Gardenia 1933 Perfume by Irma Shorell, Seductive and passionate, Tuvache Gardenia 1933 stays true to its famous classic composition that was originally created in 1933. The perfume opens with a curious yet bracing accord of clary sage, cyclamen, heliotrope and bitter orange, then soon goes wild as the heart notes bloom in the senses: an intoxicating white floral combination of tuberose, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley and gardenia enhanced with rich ylang-ylang, fresh violet leaves and distinguished tarragon. The drydown is exceptionally long-lived thanks to oakmoss, sandalwood and benzoin, sustaining the aroma of a jungle garden in the evening. Bold and daring yet unmistakably feminine, this perfume will leave everyone head over heels.

The Tuvaché brand, founded in 1933, burst into the scene with the perennially famous Jungle Gardenia perfume. The brand changed hands many times over the years and Jungle Gardenia received several re-releases in that period, often with disappointed reception when the formula was altered. Finally, Irma Shorell acquired the brand in 1999 and, in 2012, revived the original formula as this women’s perfume. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.

A blast from the past

When I was a teenager in London and working for Ossie Clark, this perfume was worn by so many 'famous people' Instantly recognisable it became my signature perfume until they discontinued it to my dismay. This is the closet to the original and I am so happy its back! So many wonderful memories come flooding back when I wear this lovely fragrance. Love your website x

Retro and Real

Retro, classic floral fragrance. It evokes memories and feelings of times passed; yet, is still relevant today. An important statement. It comes on strongly at first, but blends and settles very nicely over time. You must love gardenia, or this will be a waste of money for you.
