This perfume has a moderate to long-lasting longevity to survive the day without reapplying as well as a moderate sillage to entice without overpowering those around you. The perfume was created by the French fashion house Paco Rabanne which was founded in 1966 by Spanish fashion designer Francisco Rabaneda Cuervo, and the company launched their first fragrance in 1969. A true classic!!!
I started wearing this fragrance in 1970, and total strangers would ask me what was I wearing. I put it once a day and it lasts all day, regardless of hot or cold weather. Just love it, because is a classic.

Disappointing indeed
I have used this product as my signature fragrance since the 1980s and never! changed to another, I could not stand another smell on me. I felt like I am addicted in a significant way. Since the announcement to stop production I bought through several different online shops but each time I encountered another disappointment. Nothing compares to the original. It is such a shame. Does anybody have a suggestion to which perfume to switch?

Once upon a time…
I started using it in 1974 when I was teenager my skin reacted in a marvellous way, everyone asking me what was I wearing. It was very delicate , but modern, it was expressive my way, " I know what I want but I'm shy". It made me feel good. Nowadays it has changed a little, because it doesn't stay very long as it use to.

If you're looking for the "real" smell, this is not it.

Calandre by paco rabanne and Caleche by Hermes were among my favorite perfums/colognes in the 70s-90s. However, the Calandre that I received doesn't have much pizazz nor does it last long at all. It does not seem to be the same that I used to wear. I understand that Caleche is made differently now; the original is no longer available. Even though I am disappointed, I will try another product from FragranceX in the near future.

This is lovely
This is lovely and not like the everyday perfumes on sale. However, the original was so much better. I don't understand why the original formula is not used People ask what I am wearing and love it but it doesn't last sadly. However, would recommend as it is beautiful

best long lasting perfume
my mom was using this perfume long ago, this perfume was hard to find, it has a sweet flowery fragrance, but not too girly, it has an exotic sense that is incomparable, i bought it for my mom, and later on for all my sisters and myself, we love it.

Timeless Calandre a trail of fresh fragrance
A fragrance that most people comment on and like. It is understated, elegant even sophisticated and leaves a gentle trail of fresh notes and scent. I first smelled it on someone else in 1973 and have used it when I can get it. An all time favourite and good value for money at Fragrance X

I bought this online and used it immediately but noticed it disappeared on me after a couple of hours so I had to keep reapplying. It reminded me of Charlie by Revlon. It's the kind of cologne you would smell from a schoolteacher or guidance counselor or maybe a woman your mom works with. It just has that certain sent to it. But overall it's not bad. I would say a cross between Charlie by Revlon and white linen from Estee Lauder

They changed the original scent, and this is nothing like it. I had heard there was changes made, but ordered it because I thought it would not be so different. This new scent is not so good, and I couldn't adjust, and I like flowery scents but too flowery or something.
