On December 2nd, 1946, Gianni Versace was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy, to working-class parents and two siblings. Following an apprenticeship at his mother’s sewing company, he decided to start work as a freelancer before finally settling in Milan to work in fashion design. By the age of 26, he was the designer of Byblos, a popular youth clothing line. I wore the original versus back in 94.
I wore this back in 1994. Loved it and it was my signature. People would stop and ask me what I was wearing. It went missing for a long time and the purple bottle surfaced. It's not quite the same, but it is close. I wish they would have stuck with the original formula. I still like it though.

i had not purchased this fragrance in a while and I was a bit disappointed - i remember it to be a much stronger perfume. Maybe this is a lighter version of the original fragrance so I would say it is more a of daytime fragrance. Does not hold but it's still a good scent to have.

I love this perfume, it is the only scent I will wear, it's fresh, fun and vibrant. All of my girlfriends steal it when they are at my house. The only thing I dont like about this perfume is when the bottle runs out.

I would only use Versus during the day, it is light and fresh and great for summer. It doesn't last very long, so I need to reapply again during the day. Great smell!

One of the nicest perfumes ever!!!
This is an amazing perfume and not available in the UK anymore so I was most pleased to find it on Frangrance X.com. It was actually a present for my mum and she was so amazed we could still buy this perfume. Mum always smells wonderful when wearing it.

I was at the age of fifteen when I first began wearing this great fragrance. I wore it for about 8 years and then suddenly it disappeared from the market. I looked for it everywhere for years. Then I gave up. Then one day I came up to it at fragrancex which felt like coming up to a very old friend after years. Fragrancex really offers a great price for this matchless perfume. I often try new fragrances on the market but always keep a bottle of Versus and wear it at least two days a weak. The reason why you should try it is that you never have the feeling of "likeness or resemblance" with versus. You can wear it anytime, day, evening, home, at work... Everyone shall be asking you what it is, but you will be reluctant to say so because you won't wish to share this admiration with anyone
