About Lalique
History and background of Lalique. René Jules Lalique is born on April 6,1860, in the village of Ay, in the Champagne region of France. Two years later, his father, a Parisian mercantile agent, moves his family to a suburb of Paris. They return to Ay for summer holidays, and Lalique will have a lifelong attachment to his native countryside. In 1872 Enters Collège Turgot where he begins studying drawing with Justin-Marie Lequien.

I have been searching for years for a signature fragrance. Lalique pour homme is perfect because it lasts long, is not very well-known, has an excellent, enticing scent and is very well-priced. I use the product for the office. Most colognes wear off within an hour for me, but Lalique lasts a long time. It is the perfect scent.

This is a scent for men over fifty...not for the young at heart...there are better scents than this one out there.I bought this blind because I judged the notes to be interesting...what a mistake.Do not buy this as a blind buy... to put it harshly...no offense...an old man scent.
This last on average 5 hours on my skin not more.
The only positive on this fragrance that I enjoyed is the base notes.

Perfumier, Maurice Roucel who is especially talented in creating scents with an old school vintage(y) vibe, is perfectly cast, to create this delicate, decidedly "old world" gentlemen's Eau De Parfum. We're talking Lemon Meringue from Chez Maxim's, florals from the Luxembourg Gardens of Paris in the 20's; all housed in an antique cedar curio cabinet. Powdery and soft on the top, the Cedar and Sandalwood, prominently anchors it thru it's entirety, keeping it Masculine; Albeit a masculine in wireframes and garters(that's men's garters). Wear it Spring and Summer to dressy events. Longevity lives up to it's Parfum strength. But, projection sadly softer than the already characteristically low volume of most Eau de Parfums. What a terrific opportunity to play matchmaker then, with the winsome Bvlgari Eau Parfumee Au The Vert. A "layering" match made in heaven. Bvlgari's similarly airy but linear citrus and florals is perfectly harmonious with that of Lalique pour homme's, while amplifying Lalique's projection and equalizing it's heavier wood base. Recommended for collectors, and anyone else But the modern scent ONLY guys, not only for it's juice, but for the equally elegant gold rimmed etched glass flacon. A SWELLegant affair!
