Created by perfumers Trudi Loren of Estee Lauder and Maurice Roucel of Symrise, this fragrance has floral, citrus, fresh, ozonic, green, and powdery main accords. The head notes start with melon, grapefruit, bergamot, and narcissus, which lead to floral heart notes of lily-of-the-valley, freesia, peony, and iris. Jasmine and Tuscan iris end this arrangement. Intended for summer days, this scent has long-lasting longevity and moderate sillage.

Ottavio Missoni was a maker of sports suits when he met his future wife Rosita in 1948. After they married, they formed the Missoni company in Gallarate, Italy, and began producing knitwear dresses in 1953. They released their first fashion collection in Milan in 1958 and grew their high-end business over time. Today, the fashion house is based in Varese, which is north of Milan and is led by their children Angela and Luca.
