First Love Perfume by Van Cleef & Arpels, Introduced in 2006 by Van Cleef & Arpels, First Love is a scent both striking and lovely. Established in a base of vanilla and amber, the oriental inspiration is enhanced not only by the ylang ylang flower from Indonesia, but also the pleasing scent of Osmanthus, a fragrant flower native to Asia. Peony and orchid further sweeten the scent, while hints of orange and pepper spice it up for an attractive, glamorous blend.



Since 1896, Van Cleef & Arpels has been the proud maker of top-notch jewelry that has embellished numerous well-known figures, including royalty. Its first fragrance wasn’t created until 1978; it was called First for Women. Founded by Charles Arpels and Alfred Van Cleef, the company started in France, but before the 1900s came to a close, it had spread not only into Asia but also to the U.S.

Seductive sweet success!

Not what I expected

Nice bottle, great smell but absolutely no staying power. Guess if you wanted it strictly for work it wouldn't offend anyone.

First - the warm spicy edition

First note is very powdery and flowery but it warms and mellows to a dreamy sensualness. It is like First in lingerie. I wear First, original edition parfum and, while it is my favourite, it has no lasting power on me. Neither does the new edition, the eau de parfum or eau de toilet. My Oma wore Tosca and as a young lady I wore that too. This is like the grane french lady version of Tosca, it brings back great memories but has a depth all its own.

Love the perfume and FIRST CLASS SERVICE

There was a delay in receiving my order which was looked into and they kindly sent it with an apology and full refund to my account, so ended up getting my order for free. Very happy with the fragrance and customer service. Will buy from again in the future.

Just love it!

A perfect, cozy, warm vanilla. Great for a cold winter day but also for any moment you feel a bit down and need something nice, comforting and not overwhelming.
