Founded by Guillaume d'Ornano and Armand Petitjean in 1935, French perfume company Lancôme debuted its first five fragrances at the World's Fair that same year in Brussels, Belgium. It joined L'Oreal in 1964 and expanded to include cosmetics and skincare. Known for its glamorous advertising and beautiful celebrity spokeswomen — including Isabella Rossellini, Julia Roberts, and Emma Watson — the label is synonymous with luxury. The company's name was inspired by the French castle Le Château de Lancosme in the La Brenne region of France and chosen by d'Ornano's wife, Elisabeth. Not what I would expect
The smell is completely different from what you can imagine reading the description - no citrus at all, not fresh, after-smell is so cheap. I can't believe this is well known brand product! My wife doesn't like it as well.

One of the most underrated...
It starts with sharp bitter orange citrus, green herbal and a hint of aquatic scent. After a few minutes,its drydown to a woody and slightly sweetness (powdery), maybe from the brazillian rosewood extract.Energizing,relaxing and relieving at the same time. You can go wrong with L'aquatonic. Appreciate it while you can, before this overlooked gem become obsolete.
