I'd read a lot of reviews of 'Habit Rouge' and was intrigued at its durability in a very competitive marketplace where scents arrive in a blaze of glory and are remaindered in a heartbeat. Out of the box it has a citrussy, fizzy quality with a a note of ripe soft fruits. It becomes a little more leathery and spicy in the drydown. My barber thinks it smells a little like ferns as well and always asks where it can be bought - info I am happy to share. Longevity is not fantastic but it is a good value scent and you can stand to reapply during the day. Ideal for spritzing on the chest once I step out of the shower and I adulterate it with Boots eau de cologne for a linen and room spray at home. An ideal work scent in my view and a much better value than Acqua di Parman or Prada Infusion pour Homme.

        Out of the box, I was surprised and disappointed by the first notes I caught. Big citrus of some sort. But slowly that dissipated into something much more alluring. Within thirty minutes, vanilla, spice and powder emerge. And last. That reversed my disappointment completely and I was happy to wear Habit Rouge every day. It isn't overwhelming, but is distinctive enough to draw compliments.
