History and background of Versace. Gianni Versace was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy, on December 2, 1946. one of my first ever 'proper' scents. I have used it since mid nineties and always return to it. Tried to use 'the dreamer' twice so far and I really love it but nothing VERSACE has ever produced is as addictive and longlasting as VERSUS
