It has long lasting longevity and moderate to heavy sillage. Created by perfumer Jean-Francois Laporte, this scent is best worn during fall and winter nights. It leads with top note of lavender and myrrh, followed by nutmeg and vanilla middle notes. Amber, tolu balsam, and peru balsam base notes predominate the aroma. The elegant, faceted flacon emphasizes the amber color of the fragrance and has a gold cap with a jewel placed top and center.

Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier is a niche French perfume house founded in 1988 by perfumer Jean-Francois Laporte, who had previously started Sisley in 1972 and L’Artisan Parfumeur in 1976. This fragrance line was inspired by French perfumers of the 17th and 18th centuries. Laporte mentored another perfumer, Jean-Paul Millet Lage, who purchased the company in 1997 and still runs it today. Laporte passed away in 2011. All products are original, authentic name brands.
