Fraiche Badiane Cologne by Maitre Parfumeur Et Gantier, Fraiche Badiane is a men’s citrus aromatic cologne with citrus, soft spicy, and green main accords. The head notes introduce this scent with Amalfi lemon, tangerine, and mint, which lead to heart notes of star anise and spices.
The base notes are musk and patchouli. Launched in 1994, this fragrance was created by perfumer Jean-Francois Laporte. It has moderate sillage and longevity, which works well for spring and summer day wear.
Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier is a niche perfume house founded by Jean-Francois Laporte in 1988. Its main boutique is in Paris, France, and the offerings have expanded to include scented candles, diffusers, cushions, and other home furnishings. The inspiration came from 17th century perfume houses which specialized in in scented gloves. Laporte’s former apprentice, Jean-Paul Millet Lage, purchased the company in 1997 and became its lead in-house perfumer. In 2014, Saudi Arabia-based Taraka Tradition et Parfums purchased the brand.
