I purchased this for my husband because he likes Black Orchid and wears it the majority of the time. I convinced him to try this after receiving a sample. He likes it, however the scent doesn't last and he has to keep applying it. And, this costs more than Black Orchid.

Make no mistake this unique smell is for the man with a subtle but undeterred confidence of self. The smell comes in fresh and powdery, but unlike anything that you have smelled before. I have never used a Tom Ford before and decided to purchase after sampling scents at the store this one stood out . The wow factor is amazing. You will definitely get a huge amount of compliments. I'd been keen to try some Tom Ford for a couple of years, after complimenting a friend for wearing it. Noir is intensely clean for a U.S. frag. I suspect it's the combination of subtle peppers running with a myrtle or verbena top note, giving the whole frag something of a vetiver/alpine feel. Unfortunately it's a fragrance that I love to smell on others and distinctly unisex in how it works, but it doesn't work that well for me, as the sillage goes from a very clean chypre down to a slightly ashy basenote on my skin.
