Nothing shy or retiring about this violet scent. The powdery sweetness of the violet root is surrounded by rose, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, hyacinth, heliotrope and musky and woody notes. This is a perfectly violet-violet without the powdery old-fashioned dry down. It's also not sharp like a green violet, it's more of a sweet and sensual violet. One of the quirks of this perfume is it's disappearance after the initial beginning. Somewhere in the middle it seems to disappear and gradually comes back with a warm, sensual violet. At first, I thought this did not have good staying power since after maybe 20-30 minutes it was no longer noticeable but, if you wait a little longer a warmer violet appears on the skin and lasts all day.
Also I prefer this perfume unsprayed, when spritzed I notice more sweet smell.

Perfume is wonderful, but doesn't last .

I love the smell, but an hour later, you can't smell it, or it is so faint, people don't know what kind I have on. Beautiful bottle and packaging.

    I have been using this product daily since I received it. I really like the scent. I use about 5 sprays in the morning. The scent is light and it lingers. It really smells like violets. The product arrived as scheduled and it was exactly like in the picture. I was very impressed and will definitely order again soon.

        This is my signature fragrance. It has a wonderful violet scent without being too powdery or like grandma's underwear drawer. It is subtle, which may be a downside for some people. I frequently get compliments on it--people will hug me and then say "Gosh, you smell so nice!". As others have commented on it, boyfriends can't get enough of it:).
