Guipure & Silk Perfume by Jeanne Arthes, This powdery tropical fragrance has hints of spice from top notes that include angelica and licorice, sweetened by the freshness of coconut and almond. Floral heart notes include sweet mimosa and orange blossom, exotic Indian jasmine, lush and complex frangipani and Bulgarian rose, spiced with the warmth of cloves. Base notes from musk add sensuality and depth, while oakmoss lends a rich earthiness to the fragrance. The scent is smoothed by oriental sandalwood and vanilla, and offers moderate longevity and sillage.

Guipure & Silk was launched by Jeanne Arthes. The company’s parent group began to market its fragrances around the world in the 1980s from their headquarters in Grasse, France. The nose responsible for the perfume is Jean-Pierre Bethouart. He is a native of Picardy, northeast of Paris, and was a perfumer with the Swiss fragrance company Firmenich.
