Island Capri Perfume by Michael Kors, Island Capri is part of a trio of women’s fragrances all evoking tropical island destinations. Its top notes are both citrusy and herbal with bitter orange, bergamot, and basil, which give an impression of crispness and freshness to open the scent.
The heart of the fragrance is made up of rose, violet, and jasmine, whose traditional floral notes will be familiar to almost any wearer. Underneath the bouquet of floral notes, at the base, lie olive tree, oakmoss, and leather which combine to give a lush earthiness to the light scent. The perfume has relatively weak longevity and a soft sillage that stays close to the body.
Generally recognized as a successful clothing designer and judge on Project Runway, Michael Kors, launched this perfume in 2008. His fragrance line was started in 2001 as part of a partnership with Estee Lauder. He started his eponymous brand when he was 22, in 1981. All products are original, authentic name brands. Michael Kors' latest creation
I find that this fragrance is really similar to ClubMed's fragrance "My Ocean", but a little less nautical and a little more citrussy (sp?). I prefer the original Kors scent to this one because the original feels solid and voluptuous, whereas this one is a bit airy. It is very light and simple though, and I definitely pick up fruity things like Kiwi.
