Thanks for all your reviews, didn't know I was the only 50 something loving this scent! I recieved my first bottle of WS when I was 15. I fell in love with it. But over the past 40 years I have depended on my family to give it to me. They are dense, I've had to ration it along the way. The best thing about WS is how it makes ME feel. Calm, refreshed, pretty and special. I especially love to layer it. I want to hug my robe against my nose after shower gel, lotion, powder, cologne and perfume. It never overpowers and strangers really DO ask me what I am wearing.Kudos to fragrancex.com for my first purchase of this product. [...] I am sceptical of purchasing online, but I will come back to this site.Also, I agree with Betty who said that the xmas 2009 batch of lotion was flat, hardly any scent. I received some for xmas from the local department store and also what I received today from frangrancex.com. Same results. Either a bad batch or Evyan changed the formula. But not to worry ladies, I found out through years of rationing that I could add a couple drops of perfume or a spray or two of cologne to a handful of my un-scented moisture lotion for the same results.White Shoulders is not an old ladies scent. It's a scent for any woman that wants to feel special and pampered. I hope Evyan continues to make it for years and years. And thanks to frangrancex.com I don't have to rely on my family so that I can have a bit of it every two years or so. I can now afford for it to truly be my DAILY fragrance.

It is strong at first. The scent doesn't last long. I was surprised that the name of the fragrance was on the box but not on the bottle itself. Wonder why.

              unfortunately the item came with the cap partly unscrewed and liquid escaped; I remember White Shoulders distinctly when it came out in'49 or '48 and the scent today is not as it was then-perhaps something was omitted or can't be had. The scent is lovely but does'nt compare with the original. The item was intended as a gift.
