Mandragore Perfume by Annick Goutal, Launched by the design house of annick goutal in 2005 . Mandragore breaks into the peppery effervescence before taking a turn for a creamy violet embedded into the woody musk. And then the delicate melody vanishes, like fragments of a song escaping from the open window. Mandragore features notes of black pepper, spearmint, star anise, and sage leaf. Annick Goutal History and background of Annick Goutal. Goutal blossomed late, coming to perfume making after a career as a prizewinning pianist and model. She then met a man, separated from him, found herself alone with a baby (her daughter Camille), was diagnosed with breast cancer and married her childhood sweetheart. Comments about Annick Goutal Mandragore Perfume:

I was always a fan of Petite Cherie and Le Violette by Annick Goutal, but had never branched out into Mandragore. When I hit 40, I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did. This is a very exotic scent, not for everyone. It goes on strong, but finishes subtly, just strong enough to be noticed by the one who kisses you--always the hallmark of a good French perfume!

I don't see this as one of those bubblegum sweet and fruity fragrances for younger women. It's definitely for you if you've lived life and know what you want and aren't afraid to go out and get it. It almost has a "masculine", cologne scent when it first goes on, but don't worry, it settles down quite quickly. Feisty, exotic, but not overpowering, this scent will mark you as the alpha female of your pride!

I would advise buying a smaller size or trying a sample to see how it works with your own personal body chemistry. As we know, scents change on every woman's body. This is now one of my absolute favorites! Also comes in creme and gel for body lotion and shower, respectively, if you're into "layering" scents.

Bottom line: Not for every woman, but for those special few, a winner!

    I don´t like this perfume, It smells like limes, I thought that because of the name, it would be something more misterious. But... the bottle is beautiful.
