About Opium
Created by the design house of Yves Saint Laurent in 1977, Opium is classified as a refined, oriental, soft fragrance. This feminine scent begins with notes of mandarin and bergamot, then myrrh, jasmine and carnation. It is completed with a final note of Amber.
Opium opens with the tangy scent of mandarin orange blended with lilly. Heart notes deepen into the exotic notes of Myhhr and Jasmine. This classic fragrance is most noted for its long-lasting and intense base notes that include patchouli, opoponax, vanilla and amber.

I love this perfume, but I do not like BLACK OPIUM.
This is a timeless scent. I love wearing it all the time, but it is a little expensive. The last time I ordered this perfume, I mistakenly ordered BLACK OPIUM. It is a totally different scent(disappointing and weak).

Best Fragrance
All Yves Saint Laurent fragrances work well with my chemistry but this is the best. I received compliments from everyone I met and/ the fragrance lasted all day and, night. It has become my favorite and my signature fragrance. I just wish it cost less.

Best Fragrance Ever!
Signature fragrance for over 20 years.... Always got compliments on it. I change fragrances on a whim or when something new hits the market. This one was replaced by Sensuous. Now, I'm onto Beautiful Belle. But NOTHING will ever beat Opium.
