    This is a really lovely perfume....but.
    I have been searching for a violet perfume and decided on this one after looking online. There is something reminiscent of violets, but nothing like any violet I have ever smelt. A little powdery for me, and lacking that distinctive scent. It is nice though - old fashioned and warming.

    This lovely scent is as close to the real thing as I have ever found. It is my absolute favorite perfume. I have tried over the years various essential oil named "violet" and none of them smell anything like the flower. This scent has never been easy to find in US, so if you wear it you will be unique.

    It is a very subtle scent that no one really notices unless they are pretty close to you. Personally I don't care for synthetic smelling-perfumy-chemically overpowering-you know, the kind where everyone is waving away the scent after you walk in a room.

    To boost the scent I use the soap scented by this maker.

    Trivia: Josephine Bonaparte was famous for her violet perfume.
