About Yves Saint Laurent
History and background of Yves Saint Laurent. Born in 1936, Yves Saint Laurent grew up in Oran, Algeria. At 17, he left for Paris where he showed his drawings to Michel de Brunhoff, director of Vogue, who published several of them immediately. Following a stint at fashion school, Saint Laurent was introduced to Christian Dior by de Brunhoff and he went on to work for Dior until his death in 1957.

Yvresse has been a favourite of mine for a number of years - it is utterly predictable in the best possible way, reliable without ever being boring and still current even after all these years and ALL these new fragrances that continue to flood our markets - many of which smell much the same and don't last all that well and which are being churned out by latest-flavour-of-the-month bimbettes. Yvresse however, is a timeless fragrance, neither in, nor out of fashion and it is this well earned characteristic that I look for in my fragrances / a fragrance house. Certainly Yvresse is a staple in my collection. NOT EASY TO FIND which is annoying to say the very least... since they ask you here, not to use wicked words, but this fragrance makes you want to!! OK, it is gloriously wicked. I hope I'll always manage to find it right here!

This is one of my favourite perfumes and it's very hard to find... Here they don't sell it anymore. I use it daily but some people could find it a bit overpowering. It has this strong warm fruity scent. Love it! Definitely will buy here again.
