Very similar to many perfumes of the age (Rive gauche, Madame Rochas. Climat). Could easily smell dated. The quality is better than today's perfumes, but it is not easy to wear, you'll have to factor in some puzzled looks...

Not same version as shown
I wanted to try this scent as I've read some good reviews about it. The beige box on the picture is an older version, and as I usually prefer them to the newer ones, I bought it immediately (also, it was quite cheap!). However, the one I received was a new, black box with pink flowers. This is a nice, rosy aldehyde scent, but it's very weak and feels watered down. I suspect the older version would have been stronger. I think that because there are so many different versions of perfumes, old and new, and because it often matters a great deal to us perfume lovers exactly which one we get, the pictures should always be accurate and up to date. Would be much easier to order that way :)

A little too retro-smelling for me
I didn't care for this perfume. It smelled like some of the older perfumes I remember my mom and grandma wearing back in the 70's where the perfume is a little TOO flowery and TOO overpowering. Honestly, it smells a bit like hairspray - like the white rain or other old brand type - and Windsong or other type of, I'm sorry, but dated perfumes. I honestly wouldn't even give this to my grandmother and she wears stuff that kinda smells like this :(

My expectatios fulfilled
I use the product almost every day, and it uplifts me each time I use it. Even after 35 years I have never tired of it. For me it hits the right notes, without being overpowering.

my all-tim favorite
I wear it all the time It's my signature scent. People tell me that they know I've been in a room by the lovely, delicate scent I leave behind. It's a light an pleasant scent, but by no means wimpy. Makes a great statement.

A rare item
Never thought I'd find this perfume again. Used to wear it in my college years, some 25 years ago. It's great for the Spring, because it's fresh and exciting. Although it can be considered "an old perfume" because it smells differently than most of the new and modern fragrances. Anyhow, I fell young when I'm wearing it and people around me like it very much.

am satisfied with the tamango i bought compared to the other one i bought along with it which is the tova. i think the tova is already expired. it smells like a strong aerosol of scented alcohol that will make you dizzy.

when my wife smell it, she expect it better, she said it is lower than normal, good after hand wash, I don't know I like it a little it is vanilla print, it is some quit cold, never mind, will never buy it again,

Love it and now Fragrance X supplies it
This is a daytime and lovely summer evening perfume. People always comment on the lovely tones and the teasing accents. I am very pleased to be able to buy this through Fragrance X since I first found this in France and had to pay more there.

Wonderful, wonderful
I use Tamango daily since receiving it. Used it for many years before it became extremely difficult to find, and was over the moon to find an outlet again. I never tire of it and have had many compliments when wearing it.

A subtle but elegant perfume
Have used this perfume for many years and it is timeless, competing very well with new fragrances. Many people male and female like the subtle scent without being overpowering. It is quite sensual as it invites people to come closer to allow their nose to recognise the unusual mixture of orchids and sandalwood. This allows this perfume to suit many occasions from work to evening use, the strength of the scent depending on how much is used. Have never had anyone not like the scent.

This has become my 'signature' perfume. I've been using it since about 1978 when it first came out. And I'm quite happy that it's not readily available at pefumeries in Australia as it means fewer women can call it their choice also. It's my husband's favourite perfume for me, too.

I used this product when I was in my 20's. [...] By pure accident I found it again trough the internet. I hesitated to order it as in the meantime I was 30 years older but to my great joy and satisfaction, it still suite me. It doesn't matter that I'm 54 years of age, I still can use it. GREAT !

A lovely, gentle and subtle fragrance,
I spray it on liberally in the morning and again later in the day. It is a gentle fragrance which does not come blasting round the corner 20 seconds before you do, unlike most modern, vanilla based heavy perfumes.
