History and background of Oscar De La Renta. Oscar de la Renta left his native Dominican Republic at 18 years of age to study paitning at the Academy of San Fernando in Madrid. While living in Spain, he become interested in the world of design and began sketching for leading Spanish fashion houses, which soon led to an apprenticeship with Spain’s most renowned couturier, Crist?bal Balenciago.

Whenever I wear this and I go outside, someone always says wow what is that beautiful scent. I was in a restaurant and the waitress asked what is that scent? When I am in a crowded elevator, people say someone smells nice. Taxi drivers ask me what are you wearing? I LOVE Oscar De La Renta GOLD, it is the best scent I have ever had. Nothing compares to it. It is beautiful, classy and subtle. My one regret is that there are no similar scents and this one is a limited edition scent therefore time limited and hard to find. Though I have ordered it on [...] but who knows how long that will be available on there. Try it! you will love GOLD!
