Montaigne Perfume by Caron, As elegant as the Rue de Montaigne that it was named after, Montaigne is a sophisticated citrus perfume with ingredients as vibrant and rich as the yellow-orange color within the bottle. Originally released in 1987, this women’s fragrance opens crisply with tangerine, bitter orange and mimosa, accented by the floral sweetness of jasmine and the orangey hints within zesty coriander. Captivating narcissus comprises the fragrance’s heart, with the tang of black currant keeping the senses awake just so. Finally, at the base, sandalwood, vanilla, amber and musk mallow combine to linger for hours. It’s little wonder that this fragrance was seen as fit for a rerelease as part of La Collection Privée.

Parfums Caron bears a humble origin, founded in 1904 by Ernest Daltroff with no formal training in perfumery, that belies its status as a legendary French perfume house. The artistic skill and insight of Felicie Wanpouille, who also served as Daltroff’s muse, helped propel the house to fame. The classic fragrances that started their journey are still produced today. A classic!

Another great Caron fragrance

A fragrance so Caron, but in the same time original. I mean it has the trademark peppery background and the nice ballance of Caron fragrances. This one is all about mimosa and in the drydown there is musk.A good fragrance for spring, elegant and special.Thanks fragrancex for the best price [...]

Delightful - my Mother loves it. And it really suits her. Has a hint of Dior's "Dolce Vita" about it but so much better. Very elegant and her new signature scent!!

Lovely scent - would like larger size

The sample size is a good dispenser (practically) and sampling this lovely scent enabled me to determine I would defnitely buy this product in a larger size.
