Every 3-4 days b/c it lasts that long. Great on my bedding. Spray it on my wet hair (I'm a comb and go type person). I can only wear/use 3 types of 'perfumes' One is my Shalimar EDT (All versions smell differently AND that goes for all their product lines I've tried. Love their Dusting Powder and Shower Gel and I'm out of both. Have their Body Cream and Milk Veil(I don't believe they make it any longer). The other is about a 20yo Musk Oil that I adore but I can't replace it, so I only use it every couple of years.
If you are like me and try to buy the 3.1ozs. replacement size refills, that fits into their gold-colored round case. Do yourself a favor and place some clear tape over their printed label/description, so you don't forget which type, you or someone special, purchased for you.
Out of the last 3 refills I purchased, only 1 had their printed paper label on it. I know on me personally the EDP does not smell as wonderful as the EDT. Most people are lucky and can wear different scents. I have 1 girlfriend who is like me but she can only wear 1 scent and not the ones I use.
I have a 35yo bottle of a grrrreat every day type scent. The company went out of business years ago. One of the catalogs came out with this scent again several years ago so I purchased 1 for myself and 1 for my Mother. On her it smells fine. Since I have the old and newer versions I tried 1 on each wrist. The NEW Version stinks on me. It was supposed to be exactly the same product recipe they purchased...it's not. I gave my Mother my newer bottle and it is fine on her. I just wear the old bottle to not as formal events. Always brings a smile to an older gentleman's face when they smell it b/c it was unforgettable in the 60's and 70's.
So YES, different versions of the same Scent may very well smell differently on you.
I used wear 1 popular brand. They changed the formula and now the only way I can wear it is to use the dusting powder I have or the hard milled soap. The Cologne I have to spray on the top layer of my clothing. No, it doesn't smell identical either w/o your personal body oils mixing in with their formula but at least I don't have to throw it out either.
So to answer the 1 person's question, who had trouble with the scent seeming different on her, as she purchased the wrong variety of Shalimar. This is a very common error. Remember, they are all a different recipe. The product is just not watered down.
It's no different than if you are a Home-Cook. If you have to substitute an item for something you are missing at the last minute, your end results of whatever you've made will probably taste a little different Others may not notice the difference but you might b/c you're looking for that difference. You need to see if it really stands out onoticeibleticible or you can't tell at all.
Everyone's body chemistry is different. What may smell one way on you is not how it may smell on someone else.
Case and point...years ago I tried a minute spritz of a well-known perfume my husband loved. I knew immediately I was in trouble. By the time I got to the restroom, 50' away, I smelled like someone had poured burnt nut oil all over me (like the brown horse fly spray in the 70's that we used around their face). I smelled for over 3 days. Nothing worked to get this horrific scent off me. All b/c each of our bodies chemistries are different.
My husband used to wear his cologne in his hair. People who didn't know him, would follow this man in his electric wheelchair around for the longest time, so so tsavoruld savour his scent.
When he went HOME, almost 10yrs ago, I wasn't thinking and didn't trim any of his hair off to keep his special scent (I have a commercial food vacuum sealer). One day I was missing him and sprayed his pillow w/his cologne. It smelled just like it did on any other person.
It was funny to watch our Drs. Nurses fight over who got to take us to the exam room so they could smell his hair longer than the others, since they had to take our stats prior to the Dr. coming in. Most of the time we didn't even have to check-in with the Desk Nurse b/c they could all smell Chuck as he entered their office. His scent was so intoxicating with his body chemistry. Most people who knew him asked what scent he wore. Wives would go out and buy the cologne for their spouse. It never smelled the same though on their other half. It's called chemistry, so no matter how close the recipe is for each Scent's variant, it's different enough nanother'stch anothers scent.

I purchased this fragrance, Samsara and Amarige. I love all of them. The prices are good and the service is good. My signature fragrance is Alexandria and I just purchased that and Enigma. Both are great. My only c omplaint is I can no longer get the Alexandria body oil which is my all time favorite.
