About Lalique

Lalique History and background of Lalique. René Jules Lalique is born on April 6,1860, in the village of Ay, in the Champagne region of France. Two years later, his father, a Parisian mercantile agent, moves his family to a suburb of Paris. They return to Ay for summer holidays, and Lalique will have a lifelong attachment to his native countryside. In 1872 Enters Collège Turgot where he begins studying drawing with Justin-Marie Lequien.             This is a lovely perfume. To me it is vanilla-based but not overtly so - it's sweet but not sickening at all. Those who don't identify themselves as vanilla lovers would probably still like it. I find it a nice mix of perfume notes that has an overall sweet scent and isn't overpowering or gauche, and it lasts well on my skin. I use it at work as well as when going out - it's very versatile. it's very well-priced here, especially when the free shipping coupon is active.

              I discovered this perfume years ago and it was discontinued in Canada and is not easy to find. I found it at exclusive boutiques in France. I just received my 1st bottle from Frangrancex.com and it is half of what I paid in stores. I'm a little wary about buying online, but my experience was excellent. I will use this site for my skin care products as well.
