Varvatos works anywhere, anytime. I've been using it as long as it's been available. Vintage Varvatos doesn't work as well - go with his original, namesake version. Vintage has a more synthetic head to it. John Varvatos is as magnificent as the bottle it comes in. It's a jet black, orient/leather/licorice inspired, totally understated fragrance that makes you feel more comfortable in your skin, all the livelong day. Wear it with a Brioni suit in the boardroom, an Armani tux on the red carpet, or Ralph Lauren casual ware, anytime. You'll be walking tall and swinging low, guaranteed.
