A vintage aroma that reminds me of simpler days
A vintage woodsy scent that transports me to another time. To a time when things were much simpler. Family dinners at restaurants and everyone looking dapper. Wine, food and lots of laughter. One of my dad's favorite in his heyday.

Yves Saint Laurant Pour Homme cologne

When you buy a perfume that you used long ago, sometimes it can happen what it has happened to me, that does not look alike what I was resembling, this YSL pour homme was for me a fresh and vibrant puff, nothing of that seems to me now, mellow and mop, I feel it very much.

40 years with the same result
I have been using Yves St. Laurent for more than 35 years and have never been dissappointed. I continue to use it as one of my signature colognes because of its woodsie and earthy fragrance tha last all day.

I love the burst of lemon-bergamot mix opening from this fragrance and the spicy drydown. Classix smell and i strongly believ that they drew inspiration from Elizabeth Arden Sandalwood which has a shorter scent life. I wear it to the office.

Classic and modern
This is a superb fragrance; no wonder it was the signature fragrance of Yves St Laurent! Staying power is very good (as of most of YSLs) and I truly think it's the best lemon perfume in it's price range. Not really lemons, but hints of lemons with some peppery spices, all of which add to a very elegant, persistent but not loud cologne.

Great Herbal Citrus Fragrance
This 70s/80s classic really deserves more praise. It is not as fresh as some of the current popular summer fragrances, but it holds its own with its huge longevity. It starts out with a great lemon note, but quickly mellows allowing the herbs and vetiver to really shine. When I wear this, the herbal base gives me confidence and strength like nothing else. Don't overdue this one, 2-3 sprays is all you need. (This review is for the original pour Homme, not the Haute Concentration version)

Definitely a classic
I did not wear this one for years, but I immediately knew I had to buy it when I saw it on the website. Of course the price helped me make up my mind in no time : even in France where this perfume comes from it's 3 time the price it's sold on Fragrancex. I definitely recommend the high concentration version : it lasts all day without being heady. St Laurent's touch at its best.

Classy Citrus
A hidden gem from long time ago, reminiscent of a French gentleman. Strong citrus, lemony opening, leading to citrus herbal base with slight animalic undertone. Said to be very long-lasting but I find it fades to be close to the skin after a few hours, gently wafting up to my nostrils to remind me of how good it actually is. Unique, refined chivalry from a bygone age, recommended.
