Just love the unique smell
When I brought this, I went off the comments I read as a whole…well I was not disappointed! The first time I wore it I received 4 compliments from work colleagues and trainees I was training. Someone walked into the room I was in and stated, "what is that amazing smell?" I told them the scent name and the response was, "that really is a unique scent." Every time I wear Cinnabar, someone compliments me. Just love, love, love this perfume and I would buy it again.

I'm mid 50's and I still remember one of my teachers from high school that wore this! The scent brings back memories! I love it but the first time I wore it I accidentally sprayed it twice and it was so strong it almost gave me a headache. After that, I made sure to only use 1 spray! Lovely cinnamon-y fragrance but very strong. 1 spray in the morning and I can still smell it later that day. If you're new to this fragrance I would definitely seek a sample version first!

This fragrance has always been my go to fragrance in the winter. It has a spicy smell that I have always loved and received many compliments. That being said....Estee Lauder should be ashamed of themselves. The fragrance has been changed. It does not have the reach out and touch you smell anymore. It is a pleasant but very weak version of it's self. If I wanted watered down, I would have done it myself. I want my fragrance back!

Good for the collection but can't wear it
I have heard so many people comparing Opium with Cinnabar and since I love Opium I thought I would add the Cinnabar as well to the collection. Unfortunately the perfume did not impress me much. I have so much respect for its history, maybe if I have tried it in a cold weather I could have noticed different notes and the perfume opened in a different way. For now I am not ready to wear it.

When I was in College in 1982, my girlfriend was wearing a scent that made me ask her, " Wow ! That is so beautiful !! What are you wearing ? " She told me Cinnabar. I had never heard of it before, so, I asked where I could buy it. The very next day, I bought the biggest size I could. When I started wearing it, everybody was asking me what I was wearing, and, giving me many compliments. It stayed on my clothes, and, even on my bed linen, sometimes for days. I was 22 when I bought my first one. I'm now 59, and, it is still my go to, signature fragrance. Absolutely sexy, beautiful !! I love being mysterious, and, this fragrance makes me feel, just that !! I found that most men are drawn to it. The only set back I found, was, that this perfume is best suited for the autumn, and, winter. A little to heavy for the spring, and, especially, the summer.

this does not smell anything like the original cinnabar, I wear it on a daily basis. It is a very nice perfume but not very strong not lasting all day and still not smellable after washing your clothes as the original was. I am looking forward to you stocking the original which I will try.

One of my favorite perfumes
Love this perfume. Have worn it for years and so many people ask what I am wearing. Distinctive fragrance ... not for floral perfume lovers. It seems Estee Lauder changed the strength of the fragrance when they changed packaging. The old red-topped bottle was much stronger and long-lasting. You only needed to touch a little on your pulse points and it was good for 12 hours. New bottle needs more generous application several times throughout the day. However, it is the same delightful and intoxicating scent that makes me feel like a queen.
