I am Returning this product
I expected a long lasting great smell but this barely lasted 30 minutes. For the price it is not worth it. You will always have to layer with this product.

Great staying power... but slightly different from
I brought this scent for my mom from Bloomingdales not too long ago and loved it! It was a splurge for her so I went to fragranceX to get one for me. The scent i purchased from fragrancex is long-lasting but not overpowering. It definitely smells like a luxury perfume. I pulled out a dress I wore a month ago to take to the cleaners, and the smell is still there! I would definitely use it when visiting a significant other as it will leave subtle memories of you. The only drawback is while it smells terrific, it differs slightly from the one I brought from Bloomingdales for my mom.

Nice but !!!
I bought this bottle bcz of the rave going on the internet . It's a beautiful fragrance for special occasions and you can pull this as a signature scent too . I personally found it overpowering and a bit heavy on powdery notes. But it's a beast mode fragrance as far as performance . I do recommend. Thank you

I am kind of in love with this fragrance
This is such a great scent! Initio is a division of Parfums de Marly apparently and this is a rich, unique and well blended spicy scent. The presentation and bottle is gorgeous and matched the scent very well. The vanilla warms the scent up, but I wouldn't say this is a a vanilla scent, it is a spiced scent, warm, cozy and yummy.

Mmmmm...cozy
Side Effect...so smooth and delicious. There is a tobacco nite, but it is nicely tucked under the rum and vanilla. The cinnamon note is there, but everything is very well blended (Initio is part of Parfums de Marly). This is a perfect fall and winter scent, and straight unisex, I can see this being great on a man, but the vanilla makes it nice on a woman also. I am not getting much sweetness, it is just very warm. This scent stays fairly close to the skin with a couple of sprays, not sure about the longevity yet as I just received it. I am really enjoying this, I wish I hadn't gotten it right before summer!! The presentation on this is gorgeous also, comes with a dark purple plastic box, lined with a padded velvet (a cheaper velvet, but still). I am very pleased and will be purchasing from this line again for sure.
