I have no idea what was sent to me
I'm of the age where I shopped in Laura Ashley stores and wore the clothing and perfume. I wanted the cute floral bottle, the scent to take me back and I was woefully let down. There is barely a scent, it's in something that resembles a lipstick tube and smells nothing like those glorious days gone by. I will say the shipping was very quick and apparently I bought a little tester. Sorry, but I won't be purchasing again.

WILL NEVER BUY THIS AGAIN!!
I was hoping to smell the hyacinth in this or any other floral in this . Got nothing. I couldn't hardly smell it on my arm 5 min later. I don't know what the heck this smell is but I will never be wearing it. It smells old too. This is NOT a pleasant smelling fragrance at all. I wanted the nice floral as described & it's nothing close to that what so ever. I wish I could get my money back but it was only like 9 bucks. The only thing one could use this for would be to try to kill a bowel movement smell in bathroom. Just stating a fact. Do not wastes your hard earned money on this so called fragrance.

After reading that it had hyacinth smell to it, I bought it. I'm not sure what the heck fragrance to describe this would be. I do not detect any listed. Will definitely Never buy again. It smells old too. I guess I'll keep in bathroom as air freshener just to use it up. Will not be putting this strange scent on me. Don't waste your hard earned money folks.

If expecting the original will be disappointed
So when aI saw this available again I was overjoyed. This was my signature fragrance in my early 20s and I was happy again to be reunited with the scent. Long had it been since I had used the very last of my last bottle. I had scraped my pennies to buy a bottle when I found out my local Laura Ashley store was closing. Omg...say it ain't so! But here it is again....that beautiful box and bottle.....boy, was I excited! But oh! Uggh! What is this scent???!!!! Not until I did a bit of research did I find out that this was a modern take on the original scent. But in my opinion they should have left it alone. Not a bad scent, but just TOTALLY different. Yeah I was disappointed and ended up giving it to my daughter

Simplify Your Scent
This is another old scent that isn't made anymore and I have to search around for quantity. But when you find something that's suited to you, you stick with it. I get compliments every time I wear this. I use it sparingly because it's made well and a little goes a long way. I'll continue buying it until there's not more left in the world. The bottle is very humble but pretty. I simply love it.

I love this Laura Ashley fragrance. It is lighter than my signature fragrance, which is Giorgio Armani Gio (Gold), but I wanted to try something fresher and lighter and Laura Ashley No. 1 fit that niche for me. It is a great day time fragrance, especially in the warmer weather, as it's not overpowering. I even spray it on before I head to the gym! Of course, the beautiful floral bottle has long been a favorite of mine.

I have been looking for Laura Ashley No. 1 for a long time. It was always so expensive to buy, that I waited too long and Laura Ashley closed their stores in the U.S. I was thrilled to discover fragranceX and couldn't believe the incredible low price they were selling the largest bottle for. I didn't hesitate at all and ordered it. It smells just the way I remembered it from testing in the store. I am thrilled. It will be my go to perfume, day or evening. Just a beautiful fragrance and the bottle is extremely pretty. I couldn't be happier. Plus fragranceX had it to me in 3 days!! Could not believe the excellent service. very disappointed in this product. I paid for an unused bottle & got a tester, so it was overpriced. There was no scent, as if the cologne had evaporated. Will not use your company again, and will advise others against using it.

Like another poster commented, this is NOT the original scent from decades ago. I read up that a lot of the ingredients that were in the original scent could not longer be used in the relaunched scent, hence the difference in how the product smells. Even though I read about this being relaunched, I decided to take a chance and order it, thinking that maybe it wouldn't be so different than the original scent. Boy, was I wrong. The notes in this relaunched scent aren't even close to the original. I used it maybe once or twice and put the bottle away. It is NOTHING like the original scent and is a terrible disappointment. Will never purchase again.

Close...but not quite.
This 2012 relaunch doesn't quite hit the mark. At first spray it hits hard and sharp...cheap smelling. Alcohol straight away.! Once it settles in...poof...its gone.! I was sooo looking fwd to having this as my signature scent, again, but its just not as good as the original. LA blog remarks over and over how this is 'a modern version of the original.' My opinion, this shld've been launched as a new fragrance altogether.! I'll wear this bottle I've purchased but I won't buy it again. I think I'll call this Laura Ashley No. 1.5...lol. Oh~ my husband says it stinks...ha.

How was this product introed in2012 when I use to buy it when it first was presented ....I still have my 2 oz. Bottle that I've scarcely using because I could no longer find it at a decent price...way back in 1983 !!!! It was only distributed through Laura Ashley distributors and produced in Fribourg,Switzerland and/or Netherlands ???
