I love to use this product. The sense smells good and it lasts all day. It is cheaper then stores prices. I use it in all occasions. I love to purchase more than one bottle so I would not run away.

Heady and intoxicating
My gran had many bottles of Pompeia brought home by her seafaring husband. As children, she told us about it, the beautiful exotic smell, how long it lasted, how the empty bottle went into her linen press, how she wore it for every special occasion. She had described the "lady on the bottle" but pronounced the name pompy-eye. (born in 1891 she was in service at 12yrs old so forgive the lack of education: she was, however, smart !) I figured it might be Pompeii but could never find it but finally tracked it down ! Imagine my joy to receive the very "scent" my late gran wore. It's blissful, reminiscent of frankincense and nag champa but with a sultry floral note. Absolutely beautiful and now MY signature scent. I feel she's near me when I wear it. My only regret is I didn't find it while she was still with us but we didn't have internet in 1980.

I gifted this to my sister as it was a little too floral jasmine for me. It's smells divine on her. Opens with fresh iris and lavender, carries jasmine, ylang ylang - holds it for quite some time with silage to a deep pachouli and rose.

I would purchase this again.
I am enjoying this, it doesn't last too long it's more like washed out cologne, in which I like, don't like to overpower people senses, especially if they have allergies and stuff. I try to be considerate of what I wear, when in public. I don't want my perfume to keep lingering after I have left. I wanted to go with me. And I definitely don't want to give anyone a headache, and I don't believe this perfume does that. Nice soothing scent.

Wonderful to know that Pompeia is still available
I like it's subtlety most of all and that fact that it can be used at any time of the day. It has also been great to come across a perfume that I had read about for years, as one of the greats of the early 20th century, and to find that it was still available. The presentation is very simple, in it's present lotion strength, although at one time, L.T. Piver presented their perfumes in the most beautiful Art Nouveau bottles imaginable.

Pure vintage!
This is probably the most vintage style fragrance one can get anywhere - the bottle, the cap, the label and the juice. The fragrance reminds me of the Tweed style fragrances that used to be quite popular in the 1950s and 1960s. A simple, straightforward lavender patchouli floral combo, reminding me of fragrances my grandmother and her friends used to wear. If you want an authentic vintage experience, this is the best option (and it is quite cheap, so worth a try). I guess not everybody will like it, as it is very old fashioned - but then again, that's why you would want to try it.
