Old School Italian Gent Scent
This is an old school spicy one and not meant for anyone that doesnt want classic vibe to their scent. Go easy on the sprays as performance for me at least was about 9 hours off 4 sprays. It really has the oriental feel of Boucheron Jaipur

I purchased this for my husband for his birthday. It stinks! I'm sending it back. I don't know if it's because I bought the tester bottle but I won't be doing that again. Again, do not buy if you want to smell nice but if you want to smell like musty, old leather, then this is the one for you.

1984. I was there, and this is it.
If I was asked to present the mid 80's in a single bottle, although there are of course many others of renown, none compares to this. The potent lemon oil at first spray is that of the first Boucheron's, the mossy greens are that of those 80's chypre's that hang almost damp in the air. The hint of barbershop lavender is as if whipped into a cream of sandalwood and rose, and finally the wallop of musk that in the original was a bone dry oak moss that actually caught in your throat, now tamed. Yes, reformulated. Yes, still a masterpiece.

Trying to replace the discontinued Armani Pour Homme
I've never really liked another cologne as much as the original Armani Pour Homme, which had a fresh citrus / black pepper smell that did not have much floral, powder, or overpowering reach. What was amazing was that if it hit sweat or moisture long after it had faded down dry, it had a completely new smell, almost like the Lucky Charm marshmallows. I kid not. And it was very subtle as well. It seems to keep its presence close to you. I had heard many say that Versace L'homme was not only comparable, but better. So I tried it. As soon as I had sprayed it, the people I lived with asked if I was going CLUBBING. It was overpowering and not pleasant. The kind of tone and strength that triggers people who think that most colognes are headache inducing. This is not going to be the one to substitute for Armani. :(
