Love Herod. One of the kind. So sweet in a nice way. Opening has a cherry/red berry type, to me, very attractive. Smell excellent drying down, sweetness turned into a more complex typical PDM after scent. Highly recommended for cooler seasons. A cuddle invitation :-)

What an amazing scent!
I have Herod, Layton, and Godolphin from PDM, and I believe I got all three from FragranceX. I love all them. My wife is very critical of my perfumes and hates most of them, but she admits to following me to keep smelling Herod and Layton. I was a little worried that the Herod I got was slightly more subtle than I expected but I went back to Bloomingdales to check and Herod is in fact not as strong as Layton. So far I am happy with all my purchases from FragranceX.

Batch codes are fake
I have learned my lesson.. buy it from the orginal site that's as clear as I can be.. it horrible to buy 3 different parfums de marley from here. 1 of them more then 4 years old. The other 2 batch codes dont exist anywhere!!!! & both didn't last past 10 mins!!! Doesn't take a genius or scientist..basically $500 flushed down drain... thanks fragrancex lol

Disappointed
I've heard about Herod and it was hyped up to the point where I told myself that I had to try it. Now, the quality of the scent is amazing. However, it doesn't perform well on my skin. The projection and longevity was very weak and I was highly disappointed.

Nice scent, although no longevity.
I love tobacco scents, but this one stays really close to the skin after an hour or two and by another couple of hours it is hardly detectable. I wish I'd known this prior to buying. Your mileage may vary.

Parfums d' Marley Herod is a great tobacco and vanilla fragrance. It's very sweet and kind of powdery. I bought this at a really good price because the fragrance had been unboxed. Don't ever be afraid to buy unboxed items from Fragrance X. They are always still full and in great condition

A masterpiece fragrance.
I was blown away by this fragrance when I first smelled it. I rarely get truly impressed by a scent and this one does it. Performs very well. Clear tobacco note with a sweet finish. Reminds me of a Magic and Witchcraft shop I used to visit only a lot cleaner. Deep and rich aroma.

It has more of a sweet smell than I anticipated, but one sniff and I was lost in it. More of skin scent. So if your gonna be in close quarters with anyone your feeling. Highly recommend you spray this ****.

Real bottle, fake smell
Blind bought this from fragrancex after seeing all the hype reviews on youtube. I have to say, after purchasing layton, i thought Herod would have beast mode performance. I was wrong... 5 minutes after initial spray, the aroma become very faint, almost to a skin scent. So, I applied more sprays than usual, and it still doesnt garner any compliments. It has a very nice tobacco scent with vanilla to smooth the composition leading to the dry down. It smells good but no one can smell it. Very disappointing!

One of the best ever. Instant classic. The weekend go to.
It is understated so it's not overpowering in its initial introduction but what's amazing is it has multiple notes and it has legs. So in a nut shell it won't attack her senses, it smells sexy as f and it lasts, the slam dunk is it's a classy and well known name brand known for its classiness. Quality all the way.

Be careful: Cinnamon top note!
As much as I love Marly, and wanted to buy also Herod, which is their top winter fragrance, when testing it I felt a too harsh cinnamon top note, so I just could not tolerate it, the dry down is amazing but do not blind buy expansive fragrance unless you make sure (in this case) you can take this cinnamon blast in the opening (it is so strong that at first, I was sure they try to create a horse-leather scent, as their logo tells)

Hands Down My Favorite
So I easily own over 100+ Fragrances. Herod is 1 of 4 PDM Fragrances I own, so I do know how special they are.. This is hands down the best smelling fragrance I own.. the sweet tobacco is to die for.. not overly clawing type but just the perfect balance. If you are looking to jump into the Niche World of fragrance I would without a doubt sau tha tf this is blind buy worthy.. Once you gross that bridge of spending over $200 a fragrance you wont stop because you'll soon find out that quality far surpasses all your other fragrance needs (in my opinion) I would recommend this scent over and over and over without a doubt my favorite.

Beautiful
Smells wonderful, has a sweet peppery opening mixed with tobacco and moves to a creamy sweet tobacco. Lasts a long time doesn't project super heavy but if someone gives you a hug they will definitely smell it even after 10 hours. Lasts for days and days on clothes and will give you a skin scent just by wearing the same shirt again. Good for any time up to 18 degrees Celsius possibly 20 degrees.

Smells good but beware of current batch longevity
Smells fantastic 10/10, wife loves it, only complaint is longevity is not half as good as my 2012 original bottle of this. The juice is a light yellow color as opposed to the dark deep red color of my 2012 bottle. Definitely reformulated but still worth it IMO just have to go a little heavier on the sprayer.

A winter must
Absolutely love this fragrance. My normal winter colognes are Dolce Gabbana the One and viktor and rolf spicebomb extreme, and Herod just blows them away imo. This is my new favorite, highly recommend.
