Polo is an all time classic
Polo is my all time favorite cologne. I have been wearing it for over 30 years. There is nothing quite like it on the market today, imo anyhow. Polo has been reformulated over the years but still has that unmistakable Polo scent. Some of the ingredients, such as oakmoss and treemoss have been taken out of the newer formulations due to regulations because certain people complained of allergies to them etc..The bottle that I received is one the newer, redesigned 4.2 oz refillable bottle versions that was formulated about 2.5 years ago, it still has most of the original Polo DNA but is not quite the same. It is not as not as strong and long lasting as the earlier bottles that I had back in the early 1990's. The product is authentic, but like I have mentioned, the newer formulations are not the same as earlier versions.. Overall, I am happy with this purchase but I just wish that I would have been notified that I would be receiving the newer 4.2 oz formulation with the redesigned bottle, rather than the 4 oz formulation in the original bottle that I had originally ordered.

I absolutely adore this scent for men, it's typically masculine and always draws a compliment if worn on a night out, i like to keep it for special occasions as it is solely unique in how it smells. Put it on early as the scent changes the longer it is on the skin but in a positive way.

Two bottles
I purchased two bottles at different times because the first was absolutely nice so I ordered the second bottle it was totally different in smell and the bottle was not the same it smelled like the cologne was cut with alcohol every disappointment won't buy again

Not what I expected
I absolutely loved Polo when it was new. It was my signature scent from 1978 into 1983. This is not that. It's like someone removed most of the initial pine blast as well as most oof the woody base. What's left is a neutered glimmer of a once mighty scent.

FragranceX came through in a clutch situation

Same great scent, but…
Maybe not the same great scent, but close…memories of the roaring 80's. That said, this variant has a sharper bite to my nose, that settles fairly quickly. However; I'm not impressed with its staying power. (In under an hour, its pretty much gone. Not up to par with the last old Polo.) A nice bit of nostalgia, but will likely not purchase again.
