Opus Iii Perfume by Amouage, Opus Iii, launched in 2010, is a fragrance for men and women that is part of the Library Collection by Chrisopher Chong. Like many of the other members of the collection, this has a classic appeal. It’s easily regarded as one of the favorites of the Library fragrances. It opens with aromatic mimosa, broom, cloves, and thyme. These drift into a gorgeous heart of jasmine, ylang-ylang, orange blossom, and most notably, violet. The initial notes rest on a warm, woodsy base of ambrette, musk, papyrus, sandalwood, cedar, guaiac, benzoin, and vanilla, which blend for an oriental effect. The overall impression is that of a powdery, luxurious fragrance that is relaxing and delicately warm. This complex and addictive composition was created by Karine Vinchon Spehner.
