Nuit Et Confidences Perfume by Annick Goutal, Part of the Oiseaux de Nuit, or Night Owls, collection, Nuit et Confidences is inspired by champagne, sequins, and other things that sparkle in the night. It has a strong unmistakable opening with top notes of black pepper and bergamot.
The heart is sweet and smoky with middle notes of white flowers, tonka bean, and incense. The dry down actually introduces the dominant note, vanilla, accompanied by base note white musk. A beautiful, sensual, vanilla oriental fragrance, this is truly a perfume for special occasions. This scent was introduced in 2017 by noses Camille Goutal and Mathieu Nardin.
Annick Goutal was a model and a pianist. In the process of developing her own face cream, she became interested in perfumery. She opened her own perfume house in 1980 in France and launched her first collection. Her daughter Camille is now the head of the house and continues the tradition of fine fragrances. This is an absolutely stunning oriental vanilla fragrance. This is very close to the wonderful Spiritueuse Double Vanille de Guerlain, but dare I say it, I think I like this one better! It's boozy and bit smokey vanilla with a little floral touch. Projection and lasting power is very good. I'm very happy with this fragrance. Was tempted to immediately buy a backup!
