Banana Republic began in 1978 as a travel-themed store by Mel and Patricia Ziegler. The brand sold safari clothing and decorated its stores with exotic, theatrical elements like fog and trees. The brand continued like this until 1983 when it was acquired by The Gap, Inc.
The brand soon shifted its product line from things like safari hats and travel-wear towards high-end fashion and accessories. The first fragrance was released in 1995, and this was soon followed by additional fragrances in sprays and candles. The brand was able to expand extensively throughout the years and has over 500 American stores. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.

Very Disappointed :-(
Was excited when I found a website that carried Modern by Banana Republic. This does not smell anything like the original I bought at the store. And sadly they do not carry it anymore in their stores.

too musky for my liking.
so I bought this because I am trying to slowly venture off into notes other than strong, heady patchouli. noticed this has patchouli in the base, along with amber and sandalwood? I'm going to be honest, I dont smell patchouli at allllll. kind of bums me out, but I guess it'll help me get out of my fragrance comfort zone. this one is fresh, clean... but mainly all I get from this one is the musk. I try to avoid any perfume with musk altogether because for ME, it is a highly overpowering note and therefore becomes all I can pick up in said perfume. it is pretty but I would wear it strictly for daytime or summer use... may be a good work perfume. not strong projection or sillage at all. which may work well for some ladies!

I blindbought this for my mother. When it came, I was surprised! The smell is so good! Then ordered one for my girlfriend as well. This is her second bottle. A great purchase
