Aria Di Capri Perfume by Carthusia, Aria Di Capri, Carthusia, 73082W, 726 First released in 2003, Aria di Capri by the Italian perfume house Carthusia is a bright summertime scent characterized by a unique, hypnotic blend of citrus, white florals and aromatic accords. The top notes are a sparkling effusion of sweet and vibrant lemon and bergamot wreathed with the soft, woody-green aspects of petitgrain. As the fragrance begins to dry down, an elegant and sweetly feminine garden heart blooms: red rose and powdery, apple-tinged geranium leaf mingled with hazy, sugar-spun mimosa, heliotrope and jasmine. The finish provides delicious balance to the sweet and tart introduction, blending the decisive notes of spicy-aromatic cedar and laurel with a light, creamy musk that lingers for hours.

The fragrance house Carthusia has historic origins. In 1948 antique perfume formulas were discovered in the Carthusian Monastery of St. Giacomo. With the Pope's permission, these formulas were given to a chemist from Turin, who began developing the fragrances in a small laboratory he names "Carthusia".
