Gold Cap Number Six Cologne by Caswell Massey, Gold Cap Number Six is a men’s fragrance combining citrus, herbal and floral accords. Caswell Massey calls this edition a “barbershop style” reformulation of its original 1772 Formula Number Six fragrance: lighter on the floral notes yet with a heavy citrus and aromatic scent. The formula opens with citrus notes followed by the classic spicy and refreshing touch of bergamot. Next follows the earthy and minty tones of rosemary along with the sweet, narcotic and green essence of narcissus. This blend also includes the same 27 secret aromatics from the original formula.

Caswell Massey’s story begins in 1752, when it was founded by Scottish-American doctor William Hunter. One of his first fragrance blends, Formula Number Six Toilette Water, was a beloved favorite of George Washington. The brand relaunched in 2012 and went on produce over 50 men’s, women’s and unisex fragrances.
