Clean Reserve Sel Santal Perfume by Clean, On the gorgeous tropical Island of Sumatra, lush rain forest covers the sweeping mountains and fills the valleys. Citrus and nutmeg plantations dot the land, along with exotic flowers, creating a heavenly, long-lasting fragrance. Wafting through the green leaves, the scent of the Kemenyan tree is so beautiful, it’s almost painful. Clean Reserve Sel Santal perfume captures this perfectly for a fragrance launched in 2016. The earthy essence of gourmand nutmeg dancing through green Mandarin leaves opens the top, along with juicy bergamot orange and bitter tonic, for a gently sweet beginning. Starchy and waxy iris joins succulent salted fig, milky hazelnut cream and powdery violet to create an almost edible middle. The smoky essence of sandalwood and styrax extract from the Kemenyan tree dominate the base for an unforgettably woody, freshly-clean sillage. Cozy amber and earthy musk rose add to the amazing dry-down. Undertones of tea and maybe a hint of mint add to the refreshment.

And those notes are at the forefront of this complex 2016 release. The scent opens with notes of bergamot, tonic water, mandarin leaf, and nutmeg, before the salt comes into the heart, supported by notes of fig, hazelnut, whipped cream, violet, and iris. Finally, sandalwood dominates the base, accented by musk, amber, styrax, and a dash of rose. Overall, I recommend this versatile scent for any season but winter. Well, that's all for today. Love this so much, I got two! The idea of this scent in a roll on, was intriguing! It's a good size and a great value. The scent itself, is just glorious. If you're familiar with Le Labo Santal 33, you'll like this. It doesn't last long though. That's why the sample is so wonderful. Easy to carry and reapply as needed.
