The founder was in the cigar and tobacco business from 1936 until 1994, when he passed away. The Zino Davidoff Group, separate from the tobacco brand, oversees the brand name for leather goods, watches, fashion accessories, eyewear, cognac, coffee, and fragrances. This is a blind buy which inadvertently blows me to heaven. The scent profile, even though a bit dated, is excellent and really intoxicating. Perfermance is reasonable.

It's not bad
When I first used it the patchouli and vanilla stood out and carried itself throughout the dry down. Those notes reminded me of someone elderly, not sure who though. Then it was sprayed during the evening it lasted around the 12hr mark. So the longevity is great and it has this subtle sillage. It's not overpowering but someone seated next to you could smell it.

Great price for this fragrance
This is a fall and winter cologne. It last 7 to 8 hours on my skin. It is definitely a masculine type of cologne. It has a unique woodsy smell. It does have a similar smell to Tom Ford cologne. Thanks to all of you in the fragrance community for bringing this classic back to life.

Great surprise
I bought this for 2 reasons. Price and I'll try things. I put this on and my wife hates it. Twenty minutes later, she thinks I've changed it for something else but she really likes this one. Does it last? Legs like a young giraffe! It is principally an evening fragrance but you can get bye during the day, perhaps not for work, bit patchouli for that Good value

one of davidoff's best perfume
i've used this before long time ago and it was discontinued in my country. what i like best about this perfume is the masculine scent and it is long lasting. more appropriate for evening wear though but still tolerable during daytime.

Absolutely a lighter, less powerful version of TF BdJ...and that's fine with me as I live in a warmer climate and both fragrances - Zino, less so in it's current formulation - have a richness that is a bit too heavy in heat for my taste, at least. I love Zino, especially after the first 10 minutes...very nice, masculine patchouli with a classic, comfortable feel that still manages to remain appealing to a modern audience. Well done, FragranceX, great price and shipping.

Similar to Ford Beau de Jour but this one came first, slightly had a vibe of YSL jazz. Definitely smells like the 80's. Decent amount of performance. This one is discounted so if you love this get a backup bottle before its gone

Davidoff Zino
I wore Good Life and Echo from this house. But it was Cool Water that l had lot of bottles since its launch in the late 80's. Zino, however, slipped under my radar until recently. This is a very masculine and powerhouse cologne from the 80's. It is Johnny Depp's favorite cologne. He should do an ad on Zino even if it is from the 80's when he was just in his early 20's. CD Sauvage is for the new generation. Zino is from his generation. The scent profile of Zino is classic retro style which l prefer nowadays instead of the trendy sweet light stuff of today. Got a lot of compliments. This is GREAT STUFF!

Old school and masculine
Good for the price. The opening is a bit strong and I don't like the smell up close, but smell that floats through the air is pretty nice, and that's what most people will smell. For me, this is good for outdoor situations, bad for close-encounter situations. Nice classic cheapie for our current socially-distanced world!

The one review ,the gentleman summed it all up , the scent has changed , i have used it over the last 30 years it's a much weaker smelling fragrance, I don't use it anymore i talked with their customer service and i could tell they were not being truthful they said that I'm older now and my scences are changing , true but i have had friends tell me that it smells different , not as fragrant as it used to be
