Launched by Derek Lam 10 Crosby in 2015, this fragrance embraces modern minimalism and makes it something the modern woman can truly enjoy adding to her wardrobe. This perfume consists of a combination of only two scents: white mimosa and orris. The combination is delightfully peculiar yet very complimentary.
Derek Lam 10 Crosby was founded in 2003 in New York City, a space from which many of the company’s perfume creations have been inspired in some measure. Prior to 2011, the company, headed by Derek Lam himself, mainly focused on the creation of fashion items and accessories, which exemplified the same elegant simplicity as the perfumes the company later created alongside Butterfly Beauty, Llc. Thus far, this designer has launched no more than 10 scents.
Though simple in nature, Afloat has a rather heavy sillage, meaning it can be rather strong. However, paired with a moderate wear duration, this simply means it won’t be necessary to reapply while you’re out and about.

I simply love it
I know there are some people who hate it (they say it's super synthetic) and I don't understand. Afloat is the most pleasing, fresh, shampoo-like scent to me, to the point I use it daily and even spray in the air to freshen the room atmosphere! I love it so much!

Smells like Windex
There is neither iris nor mimosa in this fragrance which smells instead like Windex. Regret blind buying, though the price was decent.
