Diptyque Oud Palao Perfume by Diptyque, Diptyque Oud Palao is a women’s perfume launched in 2015. As its name suggests, the fragrance incorporates the Middle Eastern ingredient oud, which is a richly woody ingredient that has a smokiness. The scent opens with top notes of earthy labdanum and Bulgarian rose. The middle notes are slightly gourmand, with Madagascar vanilla and rum suggesting a boozy cake, and tobacco creating bite and a smoky complexity. The base notes evoke a smoky, exotic den, with mysterious camphor, earthy patchouli, sandalwood and animalic Laotian oud as the centerpiece. Because of the strong sillage, a light hand should be used in application.

Diptyque is a luxury perfume house, founded in France in 1961. Originally, it specialized in textiles and furniture.
