Elizabeth Arden was founded by Florence Nightingale Graham in New York City. Graham went by the name Elizabeth Arden in business. She began her cosmetics and skincare company in 1909 and enjoyed immense success with makeup, skincare treatments and its signature Red Door salons. In 1934, the company introduced its first fragrance, Blue Grass. Arden ran the company for over 50 years, until her death in 1966. In more recent years, the company’s focus has shifted to its numerous fragrance lines, many in collaboration with well-known celebrities and designers. It's alright
This is definitely a fresh, just got out the shower,daytime type of perfume. I was excited for the jasmine note in it but that note is very strong. Almost too strong for me.. I like powdery scents but the initial spray on this is very overwhelming. Once it settles down it's a lot nicer but I agree with other reviewers that say this doesn't last very long. After 2 hours I couldn't smell it on myself. I was expecting it to be a little reminiscent of the original Red Door but they are not similar at all. I don't think I'd buy this again

Loved this scent
I like all levels of this fragrance! I have been looking for a new scent since Christian Dior changed Dolce Vita and made it so hard to get (and darned expensive!) You have to make sure that you specify Red Door AURA otherwise you'll get the older version. Doesn't last as long as I'd like, but maybe with some body lotion it might.

A MUST HAVE!
WOW! I had given up on Elizabeth Arden ever being taken seriously again as anything more than a drugstore cheap perfume house. THIS one changes everything! This opens up with a musky, bitter orange and dries down to a jasmine based orange pudding with woody creaminess. Totally intoxicating, I cannot get enough of this delightful scent.
