I love this perfume
Use sparingly, it is strong and long lasting. I have always loved this scent since my mother bought it for me 40 years ago. It reminds me of her every time which makes it more special. It really is a unique scent and very beautiful

Awful fragrance!
I have submitted 2 reviews for the eau de private collection, and need to revise my review again. This reformulated PC doesn't even smell close to the original pure fragrance PC. There is a note that is there from the beginning to the very end of the dry down and it isn't pleasant at all, and it's the strongest note in this new formulated version. Not sure why estee lauder decided to reformulate this master piece of a classy, sophisticated, awesome smelling perfume by downsizing it into something horrible, cheap smelling, and very offensive with that awful note. I will be contacting the estee lauder company to highly suggest they bring back the original pure fragrance private collection.

Lovely Fragrance!
I have worn Private Collection back in the 80's and the one I received today, although definitely bears the same scent, is somewhat different. Still like it, but would prefer the original version. There is an undertone that I'm not particularly thrilled with, but I'm hoping after the total drydown it will settle into the PC that I always wore and loved. This was one perfume that should not have been reformulated. Why change what already is perfect? Disappointed, but at the same time just happy to still be able to purchase PC. Please bring back the original fragrance!

Not too happy with this reformulated version. PC was such a Master Piece! It was the perfect fragrance in everyway, and just 1 spray would take you through the entire day. There are different notes (to my nose) in this current version, and not happy with it compared to the original. I'll still wear it, but it just breaks my heart that something that was so special--what made it Private Collection-- is no longer there, with something different very notably replaced. Please bring back the original PC.

Exquisite Perfume; Hard to find, but worth every penny!
This was the favorite perfume of my sister that I lost 10 years ago. It has very memorable nuances for me. I purchase it as gifts for my nieces (her daughters) to remind them and me of her scent.

Wore this fragrance years ago and was very disappointed when it was discontinued. Very excited when I discovered FrafranceX and was able to order - so excited - as soon as it arrived, I opened and immediately tested to insure the fragrance was the same as I remembered and I am glad to report that it is exactly as I remember! My signature fragrance
I used this fragrance in the Private Collection Pure Fragrance Spray since 1979 until the Pure Fragrance Spray was no longer available. This Private Collection Eau de Cologne version is my only option to continue enjoying this fragrance...though the scent is weaker & does not last as long as the Pure Fragrance Spray did.

The fragrance always keeps them wondering "what is that fragrance" they always ask! "It makes me wanna smell it again" was my favorite comment. To me, it personifies class and a little naughtiness! I would not recommend it to a friend because I want the compliments all to myself.

I have bought at least 4 boxes from this co...but sometimes I feel not nearly the same product ...but still buy it cause I can't find it anywhere and this is closer than anything I've found and I've tried everything ...it's very sad when Estee Lauder discontinued a fragrance I have been wearing for 30 years my mom my sister we all wore this ...it's like losing a old friend...so sad..sorry to say this is a not like the private collection we used to wear...

For its suffistcation
There is a reason why this perfume has been around so long. It is more of an evening and winter perfume it starts off quite heavy oriental ,floral and softens to a powdery fresh . It draws complaints

I have only used this fragrance and for over 30 years. My signature. It is gentle --no sharpness--and leaves just enough of a whiff to bring out the beauty of wearing a fragrance. Love it.

A long time GREAT perfume!
I use Private collection on a daily basis when not at wk. I am in the medical field so perfume is not allowed. Evenings when going out and weekend are favorite times to wear it. I once put it on in the morning, took a boat out to the islands, returned late afternoon and still got a compliment on my perfume! A lil over powering when 1 applied but settles and stays with you all day! I have been wearing Private Collection for 30+ years and always resort back to it. Thanks for carrying it again!
