Magot Perfume by Etro, Magot is a fragrance for women that is pleasantly retro and hints of old attics and rooms filled with antiques and treasured objects. This woody aromatic scent is mysterious and enveloping, rich and unusual. It opens with top notes of lemon, bergamot, jasmine, and iris.
The middle accords of lavender and clove strike a deliberately vintage chord before sinking into warm base notes of vanilla, musk, cedar, and patchouli. The final result is a fragrance that is purely
esoteric and decidedly bohemian.
Founded in 1968 by Gimmo Etro, Etro is an Italian fashion and fragrance house also known for producing accessories and fabrics. The founder thought of perfumes, which are refined versions of the natural aromas everywhere, not in terms of olfactory groupings but rather corresponding to delicate shades of color that suggest feelings and emotions. Such an approach has allowed this designer to craft scents as carefully as an alchemist develops precious formulas. This scent was introduced in 1989.
