The Orchid Man Cologne by Frapin, An aromatic fragrance for men and women, The Orchid Man is a tribute to French pugilist George Carpentier, who went on to become an actor and later opened one of the first Parisian cocktail bars.
A modern man and entrepreneur, Carpentier embraced adventure, and the notes of this invigorating fragrance speak to that spirit. The scent opens with bergamot and black pepper, a spicy, citrusy introduction. The heart notes of sweet jasmine and animalic leather create a well-balanced masculine-feminine center. The base notes of amber, oakmoss and patchouli meld into an earthy, spicy foundation that lingers after you've left the room. When you dab on this moderately long-lasting scent you can expect to feel energized and renewed, ready for whatever lies ahead.
French cognac house Frapin released the fragrance in 2015. Jerome Epinette is the nose behind the scent. He has also created perfumes for Anna Sui, Banana Republic, Guess and many more famous brands. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.
It smells very similar to Aventus in the opening but dries down into a woodsy kind of fragrance. It's definitely a masculine fragrance and projects within arms length. It could certainly be a signature scent, but my only complaint is I wish it lasted longer. I get 4-5 hours tops before I felt the need to reapply.
