Gap, Inc. was founded by Donald and Doris Fisher in 1969 in San Francisco, California. The original retail location sold only Levi’s denim and records (to attract younger customers.) It was not until 1974 that Gap began to sell pieces from its own clothing label. Today, the brand has expanded to over 3,000 stores worldwide. It is known for its classic, casual clothing. The first Gap fragrance was released in 1994.
