Gianfranco Ferre was an Italian designer known for bringing his architectural aesthetic into clothing design. A product of Milan, he moved into fashion shortly after completing his architecture degree. He eventually started his own company in 1974. His work is known for being modern and minimalist while including subtle elegancy. His first fragrance debuted in 1984. Today, his fragrance line includes a variety of colognes and perfumes, all designed in partnership with famous perfumers such as Mark Buxton, Nathalie Lorson and Maurice Roucel.
